A great weekend forecast so set off on Friday evening and camped at Derry Lodge. Gorgeous evening. Watched some black grouse lecking. Shadow man was there too:

Lovely photos Sorley! We just had our first dusting of snow this year, hail here in Carterton but snow down to 400m in the South Island and some roads closed. It's going to be -1C tonight.
