Left at 6am - we like to be precise with our distances round here:
Drove out to the Linn of Dee - I was not the first in the car park! Took the mountain bike as far as Derry Lodge then set off on foot up Glen Derry through some lovely Caledonian pine forest. Then in the teeth of hail and rain and wind uphill to the Hutchison Memorial Hut where Ella ate all her food supplies for the day and it was only half past ten! When we left the rain had stopped. A bit of snow and then the skies cleared as we looked down on Loch A'an. Ella found some snow to roll on:
